Selection of coal washing machine filter cloth

Currently, the coal washing industry commonly uses two types of filter cloths: traditional multifilament filter cloth and emerging monofilament filter cloth.

Nylon filter cloth, which has a high strength of 4-5.3Cndtex and an elongation between 18% and 45%, is widely used in coal washing. It has an elastic recovery rate of more than 90% at 10% elongation, making it a popular choice. Nylon has the highest strength among various fibers. It has a wear resistance 10 times greater than cotton fiber and 50 times greater than viscose.  Nylon filter cloth is highly wear-resistant, making it an ideal filter medium for coal washing filter presses. Common product models include 301, 407, 601, 663, 17-2, and 17-7. Nylon filter cloth is also widely used in ceramics, food, metallurgy, rubber, and other industries. However, the nylon 66 model is not suitable for pharmaceutical or food fields due to its properties.

The monofilament filter cloth is made from either nylon or polypropylene monofilament, with a product density ranging from 130 mesh to 160 mesh. Its smooth surface makes it easy to remove cake, and thicker fibers improve its strength. As a result, the monofilament filter cloth is becoming increasingly popular in the coal washing industry.
