Exploring baghouse filter system: working mechanism analysis

2024-08-21

With people's increasing attention to air quality, the dust collector has attracted more and more attention and attention. Among them, baghouse filter system has been widely used due to its advantages such as high efficiency and energy saving. So, how does the baghouse filter system work? Let's explore its working mechanism together.

1. The structure of the baghouse filter system

The baghouse filter system consists of the following main parts:

Air inlet: a pipe for receiving dust-containing gas.

Box: includes the air outlet part and the convergence part, as well as a partition connected to multiple filter bags.

Filter bag: usually made of materials such as polyester fiber, which has the advantages of not easy to deform and expand at high temperature.

Blowing device: used to clean the filter bag, generally using high-pressure gas for blowing.

Ash hopper: collects the filtered dust.

2. Working principle of baghouse filter system

Dust removal process: The airflow entering the baghouse filter system will first pass through the convergence part. Since the device in this part can minimize the speed of the airflow, inertial electrostatic action will occur. In this process, large dust particles will be separated and intercepted in the box by the partition.

Filtration and cleaning: When the airflow passes through the filter bag, dust finer than the filter bag will be isolated, and the clean gas will enter the outlet of the box through the filter bag and be discharged. However, as time goes by, a thick layer of dust will accumulate on the filter bag, causing the air flow to gradually decrease. In order to ensure the working efficiency of the baghouse filter system, the contaminated filter bag needs to be cleaned. The cleaning process is to spray high-pressure compressed air into the filter bag through the blowing device, so that the dust in the filter bag is separated from the surface of the filter bag and deposited in the ash hopper for collection.

3. Advantages of baghouse filter system

High efficiency: Due to its fine filter structure, more than 99% of fine particles in the air can be filtered out to maintain good air quality.

Energy saving: Since the cleaned filter bag can be reused, there is no need to replace the filter bag frequently, which effectively saves resources and energy.

Environmental protection: Compared with traditional dust collectors, the dust content in the exhaust gas discharged by bag dust collectors is lower and more in line with environmental protection requirements.

In short, bag dust collectors are efficient, energy-saving and environmentally friendly dust removal equipment. In future applications, with the continuous improvement of production processes, it is believed that its performance and comprehensive benefits will become more and more prominent.
