Firstly, the cross-sectional shape of filter bags can be either flat (including trapezoidal and flat plate) or round (i.e. cylindrical). Secondly, the inlet and outlet mode of the filter bag can be either lower inlet and upper outlet, upper inlet and lower outlet, or direct-flow type.

There are two types of filtering modes: external filtering and internal filtering. Filter bags are classified into normal temperature, medium temperature, and high temperature types based on their use environment and temperature resistance.

The methods of ash cleaning include gas cleaning and mechanical vibration cleaning.

Gas cleaning methods use high-pressure gas or external air to blow back the filter bag and remove accumulated dust.

There are three types of gas cleaning methods: pulse blowing cleaning, reverse air cleaning, and reverse suction air cleaning. Mechanical vibration cleaning includes top vibration cleaning and middle vibration cleaning. The accumulated dust is removed by regularly vibrating each row of filter bags through the mechanical vibration device.

Additionally, manual tapping of each filter bag is used for dust removal.
