Woven geotextile fabric and non-woven geotextiles belong to the same category of geotextiles, which are permeable fabrics often used in engineering and construction to filter, separate, reinforce, drain or protect soil.
Woven geotextile fabric have a single, uniform length of fibre and are robust, making them suitable for construction projects where ground stability is required, such as car parks and road construction. Woven geotextile fabric are resistant to any UV degradation and are more suitable for long-term applications.
The easiest way to distinguish between the two types of geotextiles is to check the elongation. In general, non-woven geotextiles have a much higher elongation than Woven geotextile fabric. Specifications for non-woven geotextiles include elongation rates of better than 50 per cent, while Woven geotextile typically have elongation rates as low as 5 per cent and 25 per cent.

Product Application
(1) Woven geotextile fabric can used as isolation layer between road ballast and road base, or between road base and soft base.
(2) Woven geotextile also can be used as isolation layer between artificial fill, rock pile or material field and foundation, isolation between different permafrost layers, anti-filtration and reinforcing effect.
(3) The isolation layer of woven geotextile between the road, airport, railway slag and artificial rock pile and the foundation.
(4) Woven geotextile fabric is used to strengthen the weak foundation in the project of highway (including temporary road) railway, embankment, earth and stone dam, airport, sports ground and so on.
